for players...

If you are a soccer player, this is a great place to improve yourself, no matter how old you are.

There are several ways to get around while you are here. Underneath the advertising banner, there is a drop-box that can take you to all of the various areas of coachmarino.com. To the left, there is a navigation bar, from which you can access the individual areas of the "for players..." section. You can also click on the "news ticker," which flashes some of the recent additions to the site.

Below, each of the sections are explained in a little more detail, and you can also link to the sections by clicking on the section name.

Thanks for coming, I hope you enjoy your stay! If you would like to make a comment on something on the site, suggest something you'd like to see, or ask my advice on anything, feel free to do so! Just send me an email. coachmarino@coachmarino.com

Kick Wall

The Kick Wall is the technical training area for players of all ages. One of the keys to becoming a very good to even great player is the player's will to go out and practice on his or her own with nothing but a ball, and a wall. Go to this section for tips on working out with a ball on your own.

  Changing Room

Coach Marino is in the changing room to introduce you to the season, or offer you a little advice before jumping out on the field. Go into the changing room to learn more about player expectations, player roles, or other tactics.

  Tunnel

You are ready to go out on the field, in the player tunnel. At this point even the coach has left, leaving you and your teammates to yourselves. Without the coach around, it is time to talk about whatever you think is important, or what concerns you. In the tunnel, you can go to discussion forum, to discuss topics with players from all around the world. I will also post fun things from time to time to keep you busy and nurture your love for my favorite sport.

  Preseason

Preseason is those few weeks or months before the season starts where a player prepares for the long grind ahead. This section is mostly for advanced players, whose concerns range from soccer preparation, to fitness preparation. Mostly, this section is for older and advanced players, of high school or college age.

Group D

In June, 2002, the US Men's National Soccer Team will head to the Korean Republic for the World Cup Finals. This link will take you to my page dedicated exclusively to the four team group that the US will compete in at World Cup 2002. Group D features one of the top teams in the world in Portugal, long-time European powers Portugal, and the host country and traditional Asian leader the Korean Republic.
